Start your new acting life with our Foundation in Acting course. Over 6 sessions, you will be introduced to modern techniques that focus on the fundamentals of acting. The course centres on learning to live in the moment, trust your instincts, listen and respond truthfully, and build the concentration needed for confident, emotionally believable performances.
This course is available to everyone, regardless of experience. Limited to 14 students.
Scene Study
Weekly workshops: £20 per class (3 hours).
Join this scene study workshop to develop your ability to analyse text, prepare for auditions, work collaboratively, and respond to feedback.
Session structure:
• Warm up and introductions
• Perform and workshop scenes
• Debrief and takeaways
You will receive a scene by email 3-4 days before the class. In that time, we ask that you learn the lines and prepare your scene as you would for an audition. This preparation is key to ensuring you get the most out of the session.
On the day of the class, you will be put into pairs or groups to perform your scene. The session leader and your fellow actors will provide feedback: on moments of truth, and moments that could be pushed further. You will then apply this feedback.
Come ready to collaborate, experiment, listen and learn.
Screen Skills
Our Screen Skills workshops give you the opportunity to learn how to apply your acting craft within real screen environments.
While many screen productions are highly technical, performers are often expected to adapt quickly without clear guidance on how acting translates to camera work.
These workshops are designed to bridge that gap. You’ll explore how to work effectively with directors, including how to translate notes and psychological ideas into playable behaviour. We also cover essential on-set skills such as understanding framing, continuity, hitting marks, and maintaining truthful performance across multiple takes.
The focus is not on “playing to camera”, but on staying present and connected while working confidently within the technical demands of film and television.
